Arash Sadeghi has ended his hunger strike of 72 days, his wife Golrakh has been temporarily released. Over half a million people took to social media to raise voices for them. OUR VOICES DO MATTER! STAND UNITED AND SPEAK OUT!
Iran is committing egregious Human Rights abuses on its own people. Political and Religious prisoners are languishing in the dark prisons of Iran. Every day we hear of underground churches raided and the arrest and torture of Christians. The Baha’is are frequently targeted and their businesses closed.
The charges against political and religious prisoners are false charges of attempting to overthrow the government. Many are on hunger strikes to protest these abuses. Women are forced to wear the hijab, the youth are arrested and flogged for simply attending a party or dancing.
WHY IS THE UNHCR AND THE UNSC SILENT?
