According to HRANA, Nasim (Maryam Naghash Zargaran) held hostage in prison in Iran simply for her belief in Christ Jesus, has written a letter to the Judiciary in Iran. She details her arrest and subsequent treatment. Denial of proper medical care, the broken promises made to her by officials when giving her leave to seek her own medical care. Empty promises of release given to her by officials simply to silence her voice through her hunger strikes.
The question she asks is one that should be shouted from the rooftops and every Christian worldwide! Is Christianity a crime in Iran??
(Excerpt from her letter as given to HRANA)
می شود . My question to you is as the highest court in the country is whether Christianity is a crime? Is not the arrest, trial and imprisonment of 4 years I have not inconsistent with Article 13 of the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran?
I hope someday that every human being with any religion and religion can live safely and freely and would please me more than to hear a case take action.
Maryam Naghash Zargaran (Nasim)
Many Christians have been arrested in recent months and years under President Rouhani’s watch. Many people are arrested daily simply for speaking out for freedom and Human rights. Iran’s corrupt regime is committing heinous human rights abuses against its people. Stand with them, stand with Nasim. Share her story. Let her know she is not alone.
#Christianity a crime in iran
Shout it from the rooftops, share and stand with our brethren. Remember Evin Prison is one of the worst prisons Iran has, housing members of ISIS and other radical groups.
